Statement of Faith
We believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Bible (God’s Word)
We believe the King James Bible is God’s Word preserved up through the ages for mankind. It’s the only version that has not been tampered with as well. We believe one should live each day by what God shows us each day in His Word.
Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. believe in the King James Bible.
Psalm 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Baptism
We believe when you go under the water and come up out of the water it’s showing the world the old way you were is gone and the new you is how you want to live as Jesus would have you live by faith in Him, reading and following His Word in your Bible and being kind to others.
Romans 6:1-4
1. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2. God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Faith
We walk through each day the way God teaches us to do so in His Word (your Bible).
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight:
Repentance
We should try not to sin anymore but try to live pure and morally and ethically right as God. When we mess up, pray and ask God’s forgiveness and ask Him to help you live more pleasing in His sight. If you wrong another, apologize to them and ask their forgiveness too.
Luke 24:47
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Salvation
We believe to be saved and have eternal life in heaven, one must simply believe in Jesus. There is no other way unto eternal life. Godly works and service can’t do it.
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The Cross
It’s sad that too many churches these days, of various denominations no longer have a cross on their steeple. However if it weren’t for Jesus going to the cross, shedding his blood to cleanse us from our sins, past, present, and future, and rising again 3 days later, (why the world celebrates Easter), we would not be able to have eternal life.
Colossians 1:20
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Jesus’ Blood
Many people think Jesus was crucified on the cross by the Jewish elders for blasphemy or by the Romans that controlled the landscape of Israel in that day, but what most people don’t know is that hundreds of years earlier, Isaiah by God, wrote of the coming Messiah’s birth, death and resurrection.
Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Hell
Jesus doesn’t want anyone to go to Hell but knows it’s a real place even though Satan doesn’t want you to know many people have fallen prey to his deception. After all, he’s been deceiving folks all his life starting with Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Revelation 1:18
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Fear
Lastly, I included “Fear” because sadly, many folks have told me that God is a God of love and not to be feared. They certainly don’t know the God I know. In Moses’ day, the Egyptians learned to fear God the hard way. Proverbs also teaches us that we should fear God almighty.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Joshua 1:7
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
God bless you.
